Buildings do not consume energy, people do. Managed by the Executive Agency for Small and Medium Enterprises (EASME), these projects have helped consumers understand their energy use at their homes or their work places, and have motivated them to engage in energy-saving behaviour. It is possible to change the way energy is perceived and used by consumers with low-cost and cost-effective ICT solutions, and basic personal choices can translate in significant energy and economic savings.
