Energy Performance Contracting is a mechanism for organizing the energy efficiency financing. It aims at providing customers a comprehensive set of energy efficiency, renewable energy and distributed generation measures and often comes with a guarantee of savings to be compared to the investment of such measures. The H2020 project AmBIENCe introduced a new concept of Active Energy Performance Contracting aiming at incorporating more flexibility to EPC through the quantification of additional demand response related savings (short-term reductions in energy demand) resulting from active control of flexible assets.
Stay tuned, AEPC concept is currently tested and is planned to be launched in late 2021!
