The European Commission has put together a toolkit that focuses on what technology options exist and which technology developments are likely in the future. The information gathered aims to provide decision-makers and stakeholders engaged in strategic industrial transposition processes in coal regions with a general overview of the current state of knowledge regarding the available technologies, enabling them to explore new business models, which also make use of the already existing coal-related infrastructure in their region. This in turn to help with the development of regional strategies.
