Accelerating investment in climate adaptation and sustainable energy are important to ensure a clean energy transition and help the EU meet its climate and energy targets for 2020 and 2030. It will bring significant benefits for all European citizens and companies in terms of jobs and sustainable growth, lower energy bills, health and security of energy supply as well as greater resilience of cities to a constantly changing climate.
The event presents 25 successful projects in 5 thematic parallel strands of dedicated interactive workshops on financing climate adaptation, clean urban transport, energy efficiency in public assets and home renovation in cities and regions, as well as initiatives working across Europe to facilitate the market for climate and sustainable energy finance. Practitioners will provide their practical experience in developing bankable investment pipelines in order to stimulate enable replication by other interested project promoters.
The event will bring together key stakeholders and practitioners from cities, regions and industry as well as the financial sector to discuss the key success factors for financing climate adaptation, clean urban transport and energy efficiency at the operational level.
Stands will be presenting successful projects and resources available to support project promotors, including local and regional authorities to design and implement successful initiatives in the areas covered by the event.
