Short description:
Energetic renovation plans by invoicing scheme
This project has received funding from the European Union’s
Horizon 2020 research and innovation programme under grant agreement No 847056.
Description:
The goal of the Horizon 2020 RenOnBill project is to scale up investments for thorough energy renovations of residential buildings, by promoting the development and implementation of invoice schemes. These schemes are based on cooperation between energy companies and financial institutions and use energy bills as a repayment instrument. Within the BE REEL!-project, the city of Mechelen is also working on nudging through the energy bill. In addition, this is one of the measures in the Flemish energy and climate plan 2030. RenOnBill focuses on Germany, Italy, Lithuania, and Spain to illustrate the differences that can occur when replicating invoices across Europe. In a new report, you will find an overview of such schemes.
