The European Commission hosted two webinars on Sustainable Energy Investment in Member State recovery plans on 16 June 2020.

The first webinar focused on how some EU Member States—Poland and Slovakia— are integrating sustainable energy investment into their economic with the following Panelists :

  •  Opening remarks by Vincent Berrutto, Head of Unit, B1 Horizon 2020 Energy, Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME),
  •  Claudia Canevari, Head of Unit, Energy Efficiency: Policy and Financing, European Commission, DG Energy on EU support to sustainable energy investment,
  •  Artur Lorkowski, Vice President of the Managing Board, National Fund for Environmental Protection and Water Management of Poland on bridging the energy transition with the recovery in Poland,
  •  Peter Dittrich, Chief Investment Officer of Slovak Investment Holding on SIH's Anti-Corona Guarantee,
  •  Closing remarks by Christophe Milin of the Executive Agency for Small and Medium-sized Enterprises (EASME).

The European Commission hosted the second webinars on sustainable energy investment in Member State recovery plans on 30 June 2020.

The second webinar focused on how some EU Member States—Croatia, the Netherlands, and Belgium—are integrating sustainable energy investment into their economic recovery plans and how national financial institutions are supporting these efforts with the following Panelists:

  •  Opening remarks by Lieven Vanstraelen, Owner and Senior Partner of Energinvest
  •  Julije Domac, Director of the North-West Croatia Regional Energy Agency (REGEA) on supporting the EU Green Recovery: the Croatian perspective
  •  Bert Stuij, Manager of National Programmes and Energy, Netherlands Enterprise Agency on the post COVID Recovery Plan in the Netherlands
  •  Marc Lemaire, CEO of GroupOne and Resilience Management Group on the ‘Sophia Plan' for a transition to a post COVID-19 recovery in Belgium
  •  Closing remarks by Lieven Vanstraelen
